The Global Honors Thesis:

  • Is defined as an essay based on research and analysis;
  • Should be between 20-25 pages;
  • Must focus on an aspect of globalization, that is, it must address an interdependent process that is of global relevance; and
  • Is completed under the guidance of a faculty supervisor.

The thesis requirement is considered complete once students have:

  • Given a public presentation of their work at the annual IIGE Global Engagement Conference;
  • Earned at least a 3.3 on the paper and obtained final approval signatures from the faculty advisor and the Associate Vice Chancellor of the Global Honors program; and
  • Turned in the final, signed and bound copy of the thesis to the Global Honors office.
