Computer Workstations
We offer two kinds of computer workstations - those that are assigned to an RSO and those that are for open use.
- Assigned Stations: Each year, we assign a limited number of the computer workstations in the Center for Student Involvement to specific RSOs. This is typically done through a request process during the summer. RSOs that are assigned to a workstation also received the corresponding workstation storage/shelf unit that is located at that computer. Whether a workstation is assigned to just one RSO, or two RSOs are asked to share one computer workstation, is dependent upon the number of workstation requests that our office receives each year. If we do pair RSOs together, we try to pair organizations that often work together and/or have officers and members in common.
While assigned stations are reserved for a specific RSO, they are also for open use when not in use by a member of the assigned RSO. If a member of the assigned RSO shows up to use their workstation, and an individual who is not a member of the RSO is using the computer, our office excepts that the non-RSO person would move to another computer. Members of the assigned RSO received first priority in using their RSO's computer workstation.
- Open Stations: We also offer several computer stations that are for open use. They are for open use by any student, not just members of student organizations. Any student is welcome to stop by the Center and use these computers for homework, RSO-related work, or personal reasons.

Storage Options
We offer two storage option for student organizations, both of which are currently located in the Center for Student Involvement (UWY 107).
Storage Locker
Any RSO can apply for a storage locker in the Center. The lockers measure at a size of 17"D x 14"W x 16"H and are locked by a key, which is kept at the front desk in the Center for Student Involvement. When members of your RSO need to access the storage, they can obtain the key from the front desk. They will be asked to leave their student ID card, as collateral to ensure the key is returned. Keys cannot be checked-out overnight and must be returned by the time the Center closes each day. If your organization would like to restrict access to the storage to only certain members or officers of your RSO, you can submit a list of names to our office and we will only check out the storage key to those approved members.
Storage lockers are available during the summer, as well. However, we will require that your organization review the items you have stored prior to the end of the school year and discard anything you do not want to keep. Food or perishable items are never allowed to be stored. The Center for Student Involvement is not liable for any items that become lost or are stolen.
Workstation Storage
This storage option is only available to RSOs who are assigned to a computer workstation. The workstation storage is the drawer/shelf unit that is located at every computer workstation. The drawer is lockable, with the key checked-out from the front desk in the Center.
In the event that two organizations share one workstation, they will also share the storage unit. These RSOs are encouraged to discuss expectations and guidelines for how the shared storage space will be handled. Food or perishable items are never allowed to be stored. The Center for Student Involvement is not liable for any items that become lost or are stolen.
