Unit: Office of Student Financial Aid

Hobby: Cooking, Gardening, and floating (lakes, rivers, pools, warm oceans-- I am open to floating anywhere)

Favorite Place on UW Tacoma campus and Why: There are so many! It’s hard to pick. We have a lovely campus. If I had to pick one, I’d say the Prairie Line Trail, I’ve been privileged to attend some really fabulous events on the trail. It’s absolutely magnificent on summer evenings!

Nomination:

Our office would like to nominate Victoria (Tori) Hill-Ouhl for the spotlight of the month. Tori is our enthusiastic, fearless leader who wears many hats throughout the work day. She meets students’ and employees’ needs with empathy and care. She is very passionate about prioritizing education and empowerment for both students and colleagues. We can always count on Tori to pitch in and help with the daily workload and assist in difficult conversations with students and parents. Tori demonstrates many skills of a great leader such as: taking accountability, confidence, and creativity. With these skills, she is not afraid to take risks and is always looking to implement new and innovative ways to help our office meet students where they are at. Her hard work does not go unnoticed by her team and we are so grateful to have her as our leader and even happier to get to call her a friend.
