EdS Program Course of Study
Graduate students in the EdS program engage in the 10 practice domains set forth by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). These domains are engrained within the courses structured for our Course of Study.

EdS Coursework
First Year = Students take introductory and foundational coursework in school psychology as a career, child and adolescent development; social, emotional, and behavioral supports; and culturally responsive assessment.
Second Year = Students take coursework coupled with supervised practicum experiences organized around multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) in schools, including systemic change, collaborative consultation, group-based supports, and individualized interventions.
Third Year = Students complete a 1,200-hour, school-based internship that is supervised by both practicing certified school psychologists and university faculty. Area school districts have offered to support students financially in the completion of this internship.
Credits are earned by the successful completion of the following courses. There are about 40 academic course credits in years 1 and 2. In addition to academic coursework, year 2 also includes field-based experiences/practica. Year 3 includes 15 credits of internship, seminar and capstone experiences.
