Milgard MBA - A Rigorous, Relevant Curriculum
Enabling business professionals to adapt to the evolving realities of the global marketplace, the Milgard School’s MBA curriculum provides a solid foundation, rooted in business fundamentals identified by regional business leaders. Our program encourages managers to develop a strong mix of leadership, technological, financial, analytical, relational and communication skills needed to lead organizations facing an increasing pace of change. Our high-quality program is immediately relevant to practicing managers.
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Milgard School of Business is a comprehensive 64-credit graduate degree designed to provide experienced professionals and managers with new tools for responding to the challenges of change (64 total credits: 4 foundation course credits, 48 core course credits, 12 elective credits).
Please note, the MBA program is introducing a new course schedule. This program offers both a full-time and part-time option. The program can be completed in 6 quarters or 7 quarters.
The quarterly schedule for a typical MBA student will be:
- Tuesday or Wednesday night, Class 1 6:15-7:45 PM & Class 2 8:00-9:30 PM. Delivered remote synchronous.
- Plus, three full Saturdays in person each quarter, Class 1 9:30am-12:30pm, Class 2 1:30-5:00pm.
- Each class will have required online content between each class session.
- * Foundation and September compressed classes meet the 2 weeks prior to the start of the quarter. These classes require 2-3 full weekday meetings, which are typically a combination of Thursdays and Fridays, as well as 2 full Saturday meetings.
- Summer classes meet weeknights and Saturdays.
The curriculum develops graduates who will:
- Develop and articulate the organization's strategic direction
- Manage people, information, and processes to accomplish organizational goals and objectives
- Understand organizations as complex, interdependent systems operating in an ever-changing and uncertain environment
- Demonstrate an understanding of the social, political, economic, ethical, and environmental context of the organization
- Analyze and diagnose complex organizational problems, design effective solutions, and implement change
