Welcome to the pack and the Master of Science in Business Analytics program! As you embark on your journey towards earning a graduate degree at the University of Washington Tacoma, you are becoming a part of a UW campus that strongly embraces the concept of community – a community characterized by a rich exchange of ideas, diverse experiences, varying beliefs, and, most significantly, a diverse group of individuals.

If you haven't already done so, create your UW NetID. Your NetID is required for orientation and registration.
You will receive an email with instructions for setting up your UW NetID from regoff@uw.edu. If you need any assistance with your UW NetID, please contact the UW-IT Service Center at 206-221-5000.
Log back into your Graduate School Application and accept/decline the admission offer through the Application Status page.
Pay the $250 ECD through the online system within two weeks. Please note that to be able to access the Enrollment Confirmation System you will need to set up your NetID.
If you haven’t done so already, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Washington Application for State Financial Aid. It is in your best interest to do so by January 15. Be sure to send your paperwork to University of Washington, code 003798.
Scholarships for Milgard Students
The Milgard School of Business awards scholarships to select MBA students each academic year. Funding for these scholarships comes from a variety of contributions including the Milgard Endowment, local businesses, UW partners, and alumni. In the current academic year, the Milgard School of Business has awarded scholarships to 148 undergraduate and graduate students totaling approximately $438,000. Milgard scholarships are awarded to students based on academic achievement and leadership in organizations and the local community.

After creating your UW NetID, you'll be prompted to create a UW email inbox. Official messages from the University are sent only to your UW email address. Please do not forward your UW email to your personal email account. Refer to the UW Tacoma email policy for more information. It is essential that you receive and read your UW email regularly.
International Students - Once you have confirmed your admission to UW Tacoma, please reach out to the International Student & Scholars Office (ISSS). ISSS advisors will share information about how you can request your I-20.

You are required to show that you have been vaccinated against or are otherwise immune to measles, mumps, and meningococcal meningitis. The deadline is the 3rd week of your entering quarter.

Once admitted, the academic department will select at least one degree, bachelor’s (four-year) or higher, to be verified by the Graduate School. Students are required to submit an official transcript through one of the delivery methods listed below. Transcripts uploaded to the online application by the applicant or the academic department are not considered official.

Additionally, please make sure to complete the UW Title IX Student Course. New and returning (an absence of one quarter or more) students who have not completed the Husky Prevention & Response (Title IX) student course will be blocked from registering for their second quarter. The course takes 60 – 90 minutes to complete. The registration block will be lifted within approximately an hour of course completion.
Attendance at MSBA New Student Orientation - June 18, 2025 from 4-6pm.
