Institute for Community Leadership: Students: Speak for Justice!
This winter, the Institute for Community Leadership produces an interracial, intergenerational anthology of good ideas to protect and promote democracy. Topics include ending childhood poverty, confronting the climate crisis, controlling war and violence in all forms, and voting and civic engagement. Students are encouraged to submit a short article or poem. It is not necessary a student have previous writing experience. All forms of writing are welcome. Accepted final articles receive an award of $200, a complimentary copy of the book, as well as publication in a beautiful nationally-distributed anthology inspiring good ideas for saving our planet, our communities, and ourselves. There is no cost to students.
- Writing are due November 10 and must be 800 words or less. Please submit your writings to Fynn@icleadership.org or Ursa@mlkfreedomcenter.org.
