Information for Current/Former Students
Enrollment information is sent to the National Student Clearinghouse (NSCH) on the 10th day of the quarter and may be used to verify a degree or certificate, current enrollment, dates of attendance or a professional degree.

Current (and some former) University of Washington Tacoma students can download a free, electronic enrollment verification instantly via the National Student Clearinghouse. This option requires log-in with a UW NetID.
Students may also request a verification of enrollment letter from the UW Tacoma Office of the Registrar, which may be used to verify your enrollment for insurance, loan deferment, or other purposes.
Types of verifications may include:
- Enrollment letters
- Military ID card letters
- Good student discount letters
The University of Washington only officially verifies enrollment through the National Student Clearinghouse once the quarter has begun. If you require documentation showing that you are enrolled for a quarter that has not yet started, as long as you have already registered for courses for that future quarter, you may download an advanced registration certificate instantly via the National Student Clearinghouse. Please make sure you are logged in with a UW NetID.
If you believe that the enrollment verification certificate you have downloaded from the National Student Clearinghouse does not contain sufficient information for the entity requesting proof of enrollment, you may request a verification of enrollment letter from the UW Tacoma Office of the Registrar, which may be used to verify your future quarter enrollment.
If you are a graduate of the University of Washington, you will not be able to receive a Degree Certificate through the National Student Clearinghouse. Instead, use the following options for providing former proof of enrollment or Degree Certification.
- Print a copy of your unofficial transcript from MyUW,
- Order an official transcript for degree verification purposes, or
- Request a Verification of Enrollment.
