HEAR FROM OUR ALUMNI
Pooja Jhobalia (MSBA ’23) The Masters in Business Analytics program at UW Tacoma has exceeded my expectations in every way. The comprehensive curriculum, practical focus, and support from faculty have been instrumental in my growth as a data analytics professional. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this program and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to pursue a career in the dynamic field of business analytics.
Brandon Bainbridge (MSBA ’23) With eight years of prior experience in data analytics, I sought the next milestone in my career trajectory. The University of Washington Tacoma Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) program emerged as the ideal choice, as it seamlessly aligned with my full-time position and offered a comprehensive curriculum completed within a single year. The program's emphasis on Data Mining and Text Mining courses resonated deeply with me, as I found immense value in acquiring expertise in these areas. Moreover, the year-long real-world project, which enabled the practical application of the acquired skill sets, further solidified my appreciation for the program.
Following the successful completion of the MSBA program, I transitioned into a new role as a Data Scientist. This professional opportunity allowed me to effectively leverage the wide range of skills and techniques acquired during my tenure in the program.
Zainab Sheerin Mohamed Shuaib (MSBA '23) The MS Business Analytics (MSBA) program has been an incredible learning experience for me. With a background in Electronics and Communication Engineering and a Master's degree in Data Analytics, this program provided me with the ideal combination of business acumen and analytical skills, preparing me for success in the dynamic field of data-drivel decision-making. The MSBA program is a transformative journey that bridges the gap between my technical expertise and the strategic application of data analytics in business.

Mrudula Achanta (MSBA '21) I would like to start by thanking my loving husband- “Veera Velagapudi”, 5-year-old cute daughter, and family members who supported me throughout and helped me in creating my experiences as lovely as I could imagine. I am also very thankful to the Professors, Advisors, and my applied project Team that has nurtured me, to the difficult times that trained me to fight my own battles. Being a student at this University has given me the opportunity to work on applied projects. It helps me in studying the insights on how to apply analytics to solve practical problems. Though we had the zoom lectures; I strongly say that the program is very well organized. This course helped me to learn a lot about Data Analysis and would recommend it to every Master’s student who is looking for a life-changing opportunity. Cheers to all of #classof2021, we did it during a world Pandemic!!
Lindsey Grays (MSBA ‘21) My background is in program administration where making critical decisions is a daily part of making impact. Though the purpose of business analytics might not be obvious, in my wheelhouse of work, it is undeniably useful as I further how data insights are both interpreted and integrated into how decisions are made. The MSBA program has well-fed my skillset as a critical thinker, problem solver, business professional, and fearless data analyst. I now feel prepared to further my career and further work important to me by integrating data analytics.
Sugandha Gupta (MSBA '20) Currently, I am working on two applied projects through Center for Business Analytics. Being an International student, CBA has given me the opportunity to work on real world projects. It has given me insights on how to apply data analytics to solve practical problems. The program is well organized with every part working like a well-oiled machine. I have learnt a lot through these projects and would recommend it to every Master’s student.
Richa Rajpal Das (MSBA '20) I come from a Management background and a transition into the world of Business Analytics was not easy and was a steep learning curve for me. This project played a vital role in helping me understand the application of basic concepts of Analytics and developing a holistic approach of business while interacting with a diverse set of people in a live scenario, thus preparing me to achieve my career goals soon.
