The Office of Digital Learning provides consulting services for individual faculty, small groups or departments on all aspects of course design, hybrid and online teaching, and evaluating student learning in online learning environments. We also support faculty with a wide variety of technology needs—from the selection of the right tools to understanding the best and most effective ways of implementing them in your teaching. Our consultants always put teaching and learning first, so talk to us about your instructional goals, and we will help you find the right technologies and pedagogies to meet your needs.
PEDAGOGICAL CONSULTATION
One-on-one consultation with a Digital Learning team member to discuss course design, implementation strategies, and research-based best practices for online learning environments. We can answer your questions about pedagogical methods and assessment strategies.
INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN
Building a new course or shifting to hybrid or online? We help you determine the best design approach for your course so that your instruction is based on meeting learning outcomes and ensuring your students experience a positive, inclusive learning environment.
COURSE ASSESSMENT
Are your students achieving learning outcomes? We can help you design course assessment tools and implement strategies to assess your teaching. We can also help you construct mid-quarter online assessments to gauge student engagement and how you might improve their online learning experience.
LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM SUPPORT
Have questions about Canvas? Do you want to learn how to implement a new activity or need general training? Our team provides training and can help you determine the best approach to utilizing Canvas in an effort to maximize student learning.
