Across the globe there is increasing interest in monitoring and understanding the relationship between restoration and human wellbeing. We are currently developing metrics relevant to Puget Sound restoration by testing methods at three different scales: a native community, the Hood Canal Watershed, and the Puget Sound Basin. Indicator sets will include both subjective and objective measures and incorporate data from several types of local stakeholder workshops, interviews, and surveys as well as expert surveys. We are both testing and enhancing methods for developing these indicator sets.
