Husky Post Prison Pathways is located at Mattress Factory, Suite 152, at the University of Washington’s Tacoma campus. We are dedicated to supporting formerly incarcerated individuals in their transition from prison to college. Academic Support & Guidance
Our team is here to assist formerly incarcerated students who experience academic difficulty. We provide a listening ear and point our students in the right direction to address any concerns. Our services may involve introducing new tools & strategies or making warm handoffs to other on-campus resources.

Possibilities Exploration
We offer possibilities exploration workshops to incarcerated individuals held at facilities throughout the state of Washington. Our goal is to ensure that prospective students take a strengths-based approach in determining their academic and career goals. We also offer one-on-one possibilities exploration/goal-setting sessions to prospective and current students who are formerly incarcerated.

Narrative Change Work
Another key area of focus for HP3 is disrupting stigma and challenging harmful narratives about formerly incarcerated people. We do this through offering presentations, workshops, and trainings to the entire campus community throughout the year.

Peer Navigation Support
Our student peer-navigators are the first point of contact for the HP3 office. These student employees are trained to answer general inquiries, tap into their lived experience to inform and guide others, and provide information and warm-handoffs for both on and off-campus resources.

Community Building
One of our core purposes is to build community and a sense of belonging amongst formerly incarcerated students at the University of Washington Tacoma. We accomplish this through campus events focused on bringing formerly incarcerated students together in an empowering way while providing opportunities for our students to socialize and get to know their peers and the larger campus community.
