Strategic Plan 2022-2027
It is important that our Strategic Plan has measurable outcomes and makes a difference in our student experience, scholarship, equity and vitality. The metrics below will be updated annually to track our progress and reinforced with examples of our success.
Targets for these metrics were established through input from campus during the strategic planning process, along with input from the strategic planning committee and champions committees of stakeholders and leadership.

- UW Tacoma’s Global Innovation & Design Lab brings together people of all backgrounds to solve difficult challenges, using design thinking (11/3/2022)

- Opportunities for campus-wide, cross-cultural engagement: Events coordinated by the Center for Equity and Inclusion are open to all campus members. These signature programs, celebrations, quarterly workshops and speaker series provide opportunities to engage across cultural differences in a supportive environment, guided by community agreements, for the purpose of increasing individual understanding and appreciation for multicultural ways of knowing and being.
- Public recognition of individuals and/or groups successfully integrating the principles and practices of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging: In a Community of Practice, members from across campus will identify individuals and/or groups of staff, students, and faculty who are advancing diversity work at UW Tacoma. Stories in the quarterly Center for Equity and Inclusion newsletter, and other media outlets, will feature the impactful work that makes a positive difference for the campus climate and for student success.
