Biersack, Cecchettini and Haynes to be honored at Business Leadership Awards

Three outstanding business people will be recognized for their achievements at the Milgard School of Business's Tenth Annual Business Leadership Awards next month. The awards spotlight business leaders from South Sound counties and strengthen the relationship between the business community and UW Tacoma. The honorees were nominated by the community and selected by a panel from the Milgard School of Business advisory board, faculty and staff.

This year's event will feature keynote speaker Stanley H. Barer, co-founder and chairman emeritus of Saltchuk Resources, Inc., and member of the University of Washington Board of Regents.

Established in 1994 as University of Washington Tacoma's Business Administration program, the Milgard School of Business was named in 2003 in recognition of a generous endowment of $15 million from Gary E. Milgard, the Gary E. Milgard Family Foundation and the James A. Milgard Foundation. The Milgard family had a vision of helping build an outstanding business school at the University of Washington Tacoma. Their gift supports our quest for excellence in all that we do.
The Milgard School of Business offers a bachelor of arts in business administration (B.A.B.A.) with study options in accounting, finance, marketing, management and international business and a master of business administration (MBA).
