The UW Tacoma Convocation is both a revival of an early campus tradition (the last one was held in 1999) and the first one ever of its type, designed to demonstrate the campus's tight affinity with its community.

UW Tacoma wants you to lift your voice and sing

A new vocal ensemble, called World Voices, is open to students on a credit/no-credit basis, and to anyone (staff, faculty and members of the community) who wishes to learn to sing in a safe and energetic environment without enrolling for academic credit.
