About: Access to Increased Feminine Hygiene Products on campus is crucial for the well-being of students. However, many students struggle to afford the necessary products and services. ASUWT aims to create more opportunities for students to access these products at no or low cost.

Initiative: Access to NARCAN on Campus
Status: Success

About: ASUWT aims to prioritize the safety and well-being of our students. While not all UW Tacoma students use drugs, for those who do, we want you to be safe. Partnering with Psychological & Wellness Services (PAWS) on campus, we are proud to announce the successful implementation of creating an access point for NARCAN on campus. Click here to learn more.
Initiative: 5 Minutes, 5 Days - Student Emergency Preparedness
Status: On Hold

About: This initiative sought to create a baseline understanding of the plans and policies that have already been established at UWT for active shooter scenarios, and to build a stable action plan for what would happen in the aftermath of a campus shooting. Due to Campus Safety making significant strides to updating their policies and procedures for emergency scenarios on-campus, this initiative has been placed on hold. Click here to learn more.
Initiative: Food Trucks on Campus

About: To address food diversity issues on campus, ASUWT strived to bring food trucks to UWT on a consistent basis. Due to unforeseen systemic challenges and funding difficulties, this initiative was retired in Spring 2023. Click here to learn more.
Initiative: Affordable Housing for Students
Status: Retired

About: ASUWT hoped to develop relationships with community partners to bring affordable housing to students close to campus. The project faced challenges stemming from insufficient financial resources and limited external interests in collaboration. This initiative was retired in Spring 2023. Click here to learn more.
Initiative: Accessible On-Campus Childcare
Status: Retired

About: ASUWT aimed to expand existing programs that benefited student parents in addition to creating on-campus spaces for childcare. Due to logistical and financial constraints, this initiative was retired in Winter 2023. Click here to learn more.
