Dawn Williams has been leading efforts in Career Development and Education for six years, and her leadership has been invaluable in raising the profile of efforts to ensure the UW Tacoma experience is preparing students for success after graduation. Throughout her time in Tacoma, Dawn has supported creative programming to meet the needs of students. Through her leadership, UW Tacoma gained access to Handshake, a host of self-paced online career preparation tools, greatly increased our ability to assess career education efforts and outcomes, and staff and faculty now have access to innovative programming like Career Champions. As a Gallup-certified Strengths Coach, Dawn has led many asset-based and affirming workshops for student groups and staff teams, which is a natural extension of how she shows up as a maximizer and is a wonderful example of the Student Affairs value of inclusivity.
