Indigenous Study Abroad
The U.S. Department of State has awarded its first-ever IDEAS consortium grant to UW Tacoma for a program exploring tribal sovereignty and climate issues through an Indigenous lens. The funding will be used to create a study-abroad program geared toward Native and Indigenous students as well as students who are interested in working with Indigenous communities.
Exploring Tribal Sovereignty and the Environment through an Indigenous Lens, offered for Spring 2025, includes a one-week trip to the Frazer Valley in Canada.
