Overview
To support new mechanical and civil engineering programs, UW Tacoma is converting underutilized ground floor space in the GWP-BB-BHS-WCG building complex to laboratory classrooms, a senior design lab and associated support spaces. The project will reduce the footprint of the University Book Store, but it will not otherwise impact retail areas on Pacific Avenue. Construction work is expected to begin in early 2021 and will be complete in time for the 2021-22 academic year.
Design and construction will be led by the University’s project partners, Sellen Construction and McGranahan Architects.
