Drop-in in-person tutoring is also available, no appointment necessary.
What kinds of tutoring can I receive? Do you have online tutoring?
The TLC Quantitative Center has both online and in-person tutoring. We offer in-person drop-in tutoring on the 2nd floor of the SNO building and retain minimal online appointments via Zoom on Mon-Fri evenings and Sundays during Spring, Autumn, and Winter quarters. Summer hours are reduced and vary. We are closed during the interims between fall and winter quarters and between winter and spring quarters.
Who can use tutoring?
Tutoring and workshops are free to all UW Tacoma students, faculty, and staff.
Please see our tutoring schedule for more details and information about tutor availability. Please see our online schedule here for the hours and information related to tutoring online via Zoom.
How can I get the most from a tutoring session?
To get the most from a tutoring session, know what you want to cover, prepare your questions, bring notes and assignments, but don't expect us to do the work for you. We will do our best to help you understand class topics and clarify learning issues, but we cannot substitute our work for your own.
